Welcome back!! My name is Nicki Slaugh and I am the new administrator at Innovation High, I am extremely excited to meet all of you! I absolutely love being a principal and feel honored to join WSD! If you want to learn more about my journey in education click here!

Back to School Night is on Thursday, August 14th and school starts Tuesday, August 19th! If you have not yet registered your student, please remember that parents must complete the online registration EVERY YEAR at wsd.net by logging in using your parent PowerSchool account. Standard registration fees have been charged to student accounts but class fees should not be charged until the 2nd week of school. Unpaid Yearbook fees will be removed from student accounts in October with the assumption that a yearbook is not wanted. Fee Waiver applications should be turned in to the school office with supporting documents attached. This will not apply to school lunch which is a separate application. The Free and Reduced Lunch application can be filled out and submitted online.

Back to School Night: Please come Thursday, Aug 14th, 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm. We would love to see you! Say hi to your teachers, get familiar with the building, and chat with the counselors. Counselors are available for general questions. Schedule change requests will not be reviewed during back to school night.

Busing: The Bus Schedule has not been released by transportation yet. Once we have the official times/locations/bus numbers, we will send that information to you. School starts at 7:30 am and ends at 1:55 pm. The PLTW Stem Essentials class for 9th graders starts at 7:30am.

Early Release Days: Aug 19-22, Dec 19, Mar 20, May 22. We will also have early-out every Wednesday. Students are released from Innovation High at 11:45 am on early release days. All secondary schools in Weber School District follow the same calendar (early-out days, no school, holidays, etc.). You can review the district calendar here: 25.26 A/B Day WSD Calendar

Schedule Changes: Students will request schedule changes through a google form: 25.26 Schedule Change Request. The form will be active starting August 5th. If a schedule change requires an in-person meeting, the counselor will reach out to schedule that meeting. Schedule changes are available August 5-22. After 2 pm on August 22, all schedules are final and no changes will be approved. There will be a $10 schedule change fee for all approved schedule changes. Exceptions will be made for computer/human error on schedules.

Split Schedules: Students who are splitting their schedule between Innovation High and their boundary school should check PowerSchool’s attendance tab to see which classes are at Innovation High and which are at the boundary school. More helpful tips on reading a split schedule can be found on the counseling website. Any schedule changes needed for the boundary school will be completed using the above schedule change request form. The boundary school counselors will NOT do schedule changes for Innovation High students.

Raven Time and Flex: Raven Time (Innovation Advisory) will be added to your schedule by the first day of school. The “assigned” teacher will be listed as Worthen. Students will be assigned a teacher and cohort through canvas. Your teacher will reach out to you with more information on Raven Time. Raven Time is a required class and where we track attendance each day.  Raven time is for 25 minutes at the beginning of school and again for 15 minutes after lunch! Students with a split schedule will also see Flex/Study Hall/Advisory on their schedule after the first week of school.

Aug 19th - Aug 22nd - Early release at 11:45 am 

Aug 19th- Lifetouch student pictures 7:00 am-12:00 pm. If you would like an order form, reach out to the front office.

Sep 4th- Labor Day, No School
