I was born and spent most of my childhood in southern Sweden. My father is an American and helped me learn English by reading to me and my brother every night. The stories he read to us helped kindle my love for story telling, and is probably what eventually made me seek out a career in English teaching. My family moved to America when I was still a teenager. We quickly fell in love with this country, and I've never really felt a desire to move back.
I went to college at Weber State, then the University of Utah, and then Weber State again. I managed to change my major quite a few times before I realized that teaching was what I really wanted to do.
I am married to a wonderful woman who works as a nurse up at McKay Dee Hospital, and we have a little girl named Ellinor together. We also share our home with two cats.
Finally, some of my favorite things to do are probably binge watching college football on Saturdays and playing video games for much longer than any respectable adult should.
