Weber Innovation — An Early-College High School

A personalized learning & competency based approach to your education!

Dear Students and Parents,

Hello!  We are so excited to start another amazing school year! As you know, we are all about creating a personalized education for each one of our students. Our mission is to accelerate your child’s education and to get them down the road to those post high school opportunities well into their high school experience. Our focus is to integrate both high school and college into your student’s education; regardless of that being the OWTC tech college and/or regular college. We look forward to working with your student and helping personalize his/her education toward those post high school goals.

Another HUGE focus is to keep your students safe which will include those measures outlined by our Superintendent, Dr. Stephens which were sent out to all parents/guardians earlier.

Dr. Stephens’ message:

As we prepare for the upcoming school year, I thought it was important to let you know that we are planning to open with in-person school. However, we recognize that there remain very real concerns regarding the spread of COVID-19. Therefore, Weber School District is preparing an extensive plan which we call, “SAFE WEBER—A RESPONSIVE FRAMEWORK TO COVID-19.” This responsive framework contains five important components:

  1. Facility Cleanliness and Sanitation
  2. Personal Protection and Hygiene
  3. Reasonable Distancing Measures and Guidance on Social Gatherings
  4. Recognizing and Completing Unfinished Learning
  5. Digital Instructional Design

With each component, there are three levels of intervention: Moderate Precautions; Enhanced Precautions; and, Intense Precautions. The level of intervention will be determined by health conditions at the time. The SAFE WEBER responsive framework will draw from best practices outlined by local and state health officials, as well as the Center for Disease Control (CDC). The advantage of SAFE WEBER is that it is specific to our school district and a public school setting.

Our every effort this summer is to prepare our schools to safely re-open for your children in August. Thank you for your understanding and support.

Professionally,

Dr. Jeff Stephens

Superintendent; Weber School District
