Each year, the FAFSA opens on Oct. 1. File your FAFSA as close to Oct. 1 as possible to improve your chances of qualifying for the most grant, scholarship and work-study aid

Weber Innovation Early College High School is Weber School District’s school for students (grades 9-12) who want to get a jump on their post-high school opportunities early.
With our unique blended, personalized learning program, we feel that we can get you further and faster down the road to those post-high school opportunities you may have than any other school in the state. We offer a wide range of self pace, CTE, Concurrent Enrollment, and College courses. Check out our About WIHS page to find more information about the extraordinary school.

Note: While we are always excited for new students to join us, we do recommend transferring at the quarters so students earn credit for the work they have already completed.

How To Find Scholarships:
Monthly scholarships are listed below. Read, identify and apply for those scholarships that apply to you.
Protect Yourself
- Remember you should never have to pay to get a scholarship.
- Never give out person financial information like bank account numbers, credit card numbers or your social securtiy number
- Remember small scholarships add up and are often less competitive.
- Start early applying for scholarships. They are available for all ages year round.
Before you apply:
- Create a scholarship resume (awards, services, experiences, activities, leadership, skill etd.). Keep a current and up to date scholarship resume. Making a resume will make completing scholarship applications easier. Click here for scholarship resume ideas.
- Check and record the dates when scholarships are do.
- Priotize those scholarships that are the most important to you and focus on the important ones first.
Additional Tips:
- Use a professional email address
- Remove immature and inappropriate materials on your social media
- Make a copy of your application before mailing it.
- Send the application by certified mail with delivery confimation.
- Apply ealry and often.
Common Application Mistakes:
- Missing deadlines
- Failing to follow directions - ie essay lenght
- Leaving out required information
- Failing to tailor the application to the sponsor
- Failing to proofread the application.
- Exaggeratng or lying on the application
- Applying for an award for which you do not qualify.
- Writing a boring or potentially offensive essay.
