Siemens Competition:  Individual or team research projects in Math, Science, or Technology.

Review It Scholarship: Write a movie review and win a scholarship.

Scholastic Art & Writing Awards:  Seniors may submit a portfolio of their art or writing for consideration in the Scholastic Awards

Farah & Farah Scholarship:  $500 scholarship to a student who has demonstrated a deep, meaningful commitment to their local community.

STEM Scholarship Award: $500 scholarships to high school seniors in the STEM areas with a desire to pursue a career in that area.

Don't Text and Drive Scholarship:  Complete the application and a 140-character message about texting while driving.

My Kool Smiles Scholarship:  Essay Contest on how dental health can contribute to the well-being of families and children.

OCTOBER DEADLINES:

Horatio Alger Scholarships: High school students who have faced and overcome great obstacles in their young lives.

Omega PSI PHI Competition: Several scholarships for ANY college-bound HS senior in good academic standing.

Coca-Cola Scholars Program:  Senior students who show academic achievement, leadership, and personal character.

Stokes Educational Scholarship: Seniors planning on majoring in computer science or computer/electrical engineering.

National Association of Veteran Program Administrators (NAVPA): Available to veterans, service members and their dependents.

UHBLF (Somos) Scholarship:  Improve business education and opportunities for Hispanic/Latino students.

The Great Scholarship Program:  For students planning to pursue a cosmetology career.

NOVEMBER DEADLINES:

Voice of Democracy:  9-12 grade students; democratic and patriotic-themed recorded essay.

Daniel's Scholarship Program:  Planning to attend college next year, demonstrate strength of character, leadership, & community service.

Elks "Most Valuable Student":  HS senior who shows academic achievement, leadership, and financial need.

Youth Volunteer Scholarship Award: student who has completed a minimum of 50 hours of volunteer work over the past two years.

Utah State Senate Visual Arts Scholarship Competition

All students grade 9-12 are eligible to participate. Must submit a two-dimensional visual art image of the Utah landscape. Scholarship ranges from $250-$5,000.

Jack Kent Cooke Foundation College Scholarship Program:  High-achieving high school seniors with financial need who seek to a four-year college.

Plaintiff Relief Scholar Program:  ​Students who will make significant contributions to society. Applicants must excel academically, show exceptional leadership potential and have a track record of bettering the community around them.

Quick Quack Car Wash Writing Contest: 4th to 12th grade writing contest.

DECEMBER DEADLINES:

Regents Scholarship:  Seniors who have taking a core of college prep courses with minimum GPA & ACT scores required.

Utah Energy Workforce Scholarship:  Submit short documentary films exploring some aspect of Utah’s energy sector

The Smart Scholarship for Service:  Students pursuing degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) disciplines.

Lynn Jensen Memorial Scholarship:  $1,000 scholarship for a senior student who plans to attend college.

AXA Achievement Community Scholarship:  Must demonstrate ambition and respect and be goal-oriented.

The Infoparrot Scholarship of Academic Excellence: Essay contest for a senior entering into college.

Odenza Marketing Group Volunteer Scholarship:  Student must have contributed at least 50 hours of volunteer service within the community over the last 12 months.

Burger King Scholar: Senior, Burger King employee, a spouse/domestic partner, or child of an employee.

American Quarter Horse Association Foundation: Various scholarships  for students involved in the  AQHA state affiliate, 4-H, FFA.

Violet Richardson Award Honoring Young Women:  Women between 14-17 years old. Volunteer efforts within community to fight drugs, crime and violence; cleaning up the environment; and working to end discrimination and poverty.

Young Entrepreneur Awards:  Seniors entering  college or technical institute and who own/operate an established business.

Americanism Essay Contest:  Grades 7-12. Essay contest to promote patriotism among American youth.

NRA Civil Rights Defense Fund:  Grade K-12. Essay contest  with the theme of "What Does The Second Amendment Mean to You?"

JANUARY DEADLINES:

​The Edge Scholarship:  $1800 tuition waiver for 12 WSU concurrent enrollment credits with a 3.0 GPA in those classes.

Lt. Col. G. Roger Sunada Scholarship: Students who plan to pursue an ABET accredited engineering degree or NAAB architecture degree.

Asian & Pacific Islander American Scholarship Fund: Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders with financial need.

Cancer for College Scholarship: Scholarships for cancer survivors.

GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship:  Demonstrate the attributes of leadership, drive, integrity, and citizenship.

National Multiple Sclerosis Society Scholarship:  Students who have been diagnosed with MS, or who have a parent with MS.

Utah 1033 Foundation 2017 Leadership Award:  Children and dependents of active Utah state law enforcement officers.

Profile in Courage Essay Contest: Write an essay that demonstrates an understanding of political courage as described by John F. Kennedy in Profiles in Courage.

Youth Activist Scholarship:  Seniors who have demonstrated a strong commitment to civil liberties through some form of activism.

Healthcare Leaders Scholarship: Students entering or currently pursuing an educational program related to nursing or medicine.

Nursing Education Scholarship: Essay contest explaining what you hope to accomplish during your career in the medical field.

RMHC Scholarship:  Students in financial need who have demonstrated academic achievement, leadership and community involvement.

Washington Crossing Scholarship:  ​Essay contest stating why he or she plans a career in government service.

DECA’s scholarship program: $300,000 in scholarships to high school and college DECA members

FEBRUARY DEADLINES:

New Century Scholarship:  Students who will earn an associate degree in high school.

Utah PTSA/PTA 2016-17 Student Scholarship: For a graduating senior student who is a member of the PTSA/PTA, accepted to a post-secondary school, and have a 3.0 GPA.

Alzheimer’s Awareness  Scholarship:  Submit an autobiography and write a 1,200 to 1,500 word essay.

CTE Scholarships and Tuition Awards: Senior student who plans to get CTE training after high school.

Daughters of the American Revolution Scholarships: Scholarships are offered for history, law, medical, nursing, music, education pursuits. The various scholarships each have different requirements.

FFA Organizations Scholarships:  1,800 Scholarships are available. For Seniors based on grades, test scores, leadership ability, service.

BMI Foundation Scholarship: Several scholarships for musicians, composers, songwriters, and broadcasters.

Bryan J. Miller Essay Contest: 10th grade student to recognize someone who has impacted their life and/or the lives of others in 250 to 500 words.

Vegetarian Resource Group Scholarship:  Students who have promoted vegetarianism in their schools and/or communities.

Christopher’s Annual Poster Contest:   9-12th grade students may enter by creating a poster for the theme of, “You can make a difference.”

PAF Scholarship for Survivors:  Students who have been diagnosed with or treated for cancer, a chronic, or life threatening debilitating disease within the past five years.

We the Students Essay Contest :  Students must answer the following question: Does peaceful resistance to laws positively or negatively impact a free society?

MARCH DEADLINES:

TH Bell Teaching Incentive:  Seniors pursuing a teaching degree.

Weber Conservation Scholarship: Seniors pursuing an education in a natural resource or agriculture related field.

Ann Rand Essay Contest:  8th, 9th, or 10th grade students must read "Anthem" and write an essay.

HSF Scholarship: Students of Hispanic heritage.

Youthlinc Utah Young Humanitarian Award: Outstanding humanitarian service among youth.

Create-A-Greeting-Card Scholarship: Submit original photo, artwork or computer graphics for the front of a greeting card.

BMW/SAE Engineering Scholarship:  Pursue an engineering or related science degree through an ABET accredited program.

SAE / Ford Partnership for Advanced Studies Scholarship: Pursuing  engineering or technology through an ABET accredited program. Students in a Ford Next Generation Learning Community,  a Ford PAS program, or in a Ford PAS after school/weekend/summer/college program.

Dan and Vicky Hancock Scholarship for Mechanical Engineering Excellence:  students pursuing college degrees in the field of mechanical engineering.

Edward D. Hendrickson / SAE Engineering Scholarship: Pursue an engineering or related science degree through an ABET accredited program.

Donald and Barbara Mozley Scholarship: Pursuing an engineering degree at an ABET-accredited college or university.

Tau Beta Pi / SAE Engineering Scholarship:  Pursue an engineering or related science degree through an ABET accredited program.

TMC / SAE Donald D. Dawson Technical Scholarship:   Pursue an engineering or related science degree through an ABET accredited program.

Fred M. Young Sr. / SAE Engineering Scholarship:  Pursuing an engineering degree through an ABET accredited program.

The Jiffy Lube "Teen Driver" Scholarship:  Essay contest for 16-18 years old enrolled in high school.

ACS Scholars Program: African American, Native American, or Hispanic students pursuing study in a chemically-related field.

USIP National High School Essay Contest:  Students to closely examine the causes and impact of the refugee crisis.

NCCF Survivor Scholarship:  Students whose lives have been impacted by cancer and who have continued with their education throughout treatment or after their treatment.

APRIL DEADLINES:

Ann Rand Essay Contest:  11th or 12th grade students must read "Fountainhead" and write and essay.

Ann Rand Essay Contest:  12th grade students must read "Atlas Shrugged" and write and essay.

Honors Graduation Scholarship:  Students submit projects that respond to a prompt in one of the following media categories: Art, Photography, Music, or Creative Writing.​

The Jiffy Lube "Your Turn Behind the Wheel" Scholarship : Essay contest for students 15-17 years old enrolled in Driver's Ed.

Signet Classics Essay Contest: 11th or 12th grade.  Write an essay on one of five topics for "The Tempest".

AEA Educational Foundation:  Students seeking careers in the aircraft electronics and aviation maintenance.

Virtual Business Scholarship:  Students must exhibit excellence in business, marketing or personal finance classes and show accomplishment in the use of technologies in these subjects.

American Fire Sprinkler Association Scholarship:  AFSA wants to educate the public at-large about the life-saving properties of automatic fire sprinklers.  Complete the entry form and take a quiz to enter.

College Success Scholarship: Selection will be based on the free responses submitted by applicants. Financial need will not be considered.

MAY DEADLINES:

Mahin & Saifulla Salemy Scientific Scholarship:  Seniors who have been accepted to and will attend college (either 4-year or community) in the United States, and have an interest in the sciences.

CoilLaw Scholarship: $500 scholarship for a senior student in Utah and Idaho who plan to attend a 4yr college/university.

ATCA Scholarship Fund:  Students who plan to study air traffic control and aviation science.

Family Law Scholarship:  Students whose parents have gone through a divorce or are planning on pursuing a career in family law. ​

Career Step Scholarship:  a great option for students not planning on college.



JUNE DEADLINES:

Wells Fargo College Steps Sweepstakes:  Register with this program for a chance to win a $1000 scholarship.

Global Lift Equipment Scholarship: Short story contest (2000 words or less).

180 Medical Scholarship Program:  Students with spinal cord injuries, spina bifida, transverse myelitis, neurogenic bladder, or ostomy (ileostomy, colostomy, or urostomy).

"Got a Spine" Scholarship:  Complete the application and questions to enter.​

The OMBAR Aspiring Business Professional Scholarship:  Intends to pursue a business related field at an accredited post-secondary school or college.

The Aspiring Animation Professional Scholarship:   Intends to pursue an animation related field at an accredited post-secondary school or college.

Horatio Alger Association Career & Technical Scholarship: Intends to pursue and complete a career or technical program at an accredited non-profit post-secondary institution in the United States.



JULY DEADLINES:

Signs.com "Design Your Success" Scholarship:  essay contest open to graduating high school seniors.

Native American Scholarships:  demonstrate enrollment in a federally recognized American Indian tribe or Alaska Native group, or possess one fourth (1/4) degree verifiable federally recognized American Indian blood through the submission of a Tribal Eligibility Certificate (TEC).

Jack & Jill Lang Scholarship: attending or planning on attending, an accredited Utah College or University & living with Epilepsy.

Glenn Maughan Memorial Scholarship: a person, or their family member, affected by Epilepsy, attending or planning on attending an accredited Utah College or University.
