Principles Of Engineering

I was born in New Orleans Louisiana. I spent most of my life just outside of New Orleans in Mandeville Louisiana. I graduated from Mandeville High School. I then attended Southeastern Louisiana University where I received my BS Degree in Biology. While at SLU I worked in the swamps of Louisiana with various professors on numerous projects ranging from planting trees to work on a Mississippi River Diversion Project. Then I got a job with Utah Division of Wildlife. I worked in the native aquatics section. I then decided to pursue a career working with troubled teens. I worked in a residential treatments center and also in a wilderness program for several years. I decided to continue my work with teenagers and received my teaching certificate and Master's Degree in Secondary Education from Utah State University. I taught 7-8 grade science for many years at Sand Ridge Jr. High. I then started the Gateway program there. That led me to teach Project Lead The Way (PLTW)  here at the Weber Innovation Center. Currently I teach:

  • Principles Of Engineering

  • Civil Engineering and Architecture

  • Introduction To Engineering Design

  • Earth Systems Science

  • Environmental Science
