I was born in a magical land beyond this states borders called Illinois (Silent S!). Son of a former Navy Seal, moving from place to place was a common occurrence. While I have attended public schools in Wisconsin and Texas, most of my schooling has been here in Utah. I graduated from Box Elder High School in 2005, and loved wearing purple so much I began my undergraduate work at Weber State University that same year. While attending WSU I majored in Physics teaching with a minor in Physical Education. I also completed coursework to teach Health and Mathematics. I was a member of the Football team there playing for Coach Ron McBride, where I learned as many lessons about life and success as I possibly could.

After graduation I began my teaching career at Two Rivers High School, teaching Physics and Algebra. During my first year teaching I met my beautiful wife Jandi and we were married the next year. In 2014 we welcomed a beautiful 9 pound redheaded baby girl to the world to round out our family unit. Alice is now almost 2. Jandi and I enjoy being active and promoting a healthy and happy lifestyle for those around us. We are both avid country swing and line dancers and are always excited to teach anyone interested in taking up the hobby.

At the outset of the 2015-16 school year I began teaching Health in addition to Physics and added Physics as a part of PLTW in November. I can't say enough how excited I am to have a full school year ahead of me to work with the other Project Lead The Way faculty in continuing to build a truly rare and different culture of science and engineering. I am also thrilled at the opportunity to work with such focused and skilled professionals and be a part of the amazing progress happening at Weber Innovations High.
