Medical Forensics

I was born and raised in North Ogden, graduating from Weber High.  I started at Weber State with the intention of getting a Bachelor’s Degree, but had no idea what my major would be when I first started college.  After finishing my generals I decided it would be fun to take a Forensic Science class and after the first week of class I was hooked.  I majored in Criminal Justice with a double emphasis in Forensic Science and Criminal Law with a minor in Chemistry.  I was lucky enough to get a job doing Crime Scene Investigation in Weber County before I even graduated college.  I worked for Weber-Metro CSI for 6 years and then quit to stay home with my first child.  I am excited to be able to teach Medical Forensics at WIHS.  I want to share real life crime scene experiences and help others find an interest in forensics.  FYI it’s nothing like what is seen on TV!  I enjoy mountain biking, hiking, running, 4-wheeling and doing just about anything outdoors with my husband and boys.
