CTE Coordinator

I was born and raised in a rural town in South Dakota. My high school had roughly 250 students combined in grades 7-12, so we were a pretty small area. I graduated in the largest class ever, we had 50 students, which included 2 foreign exchange students. My career goal was to be a mechanic and ownmy own shop, but after being accepted to Brigham Young University, I decided to take advantage of this opportunity and learn all I could. I received a BS degree in Technology Teacher Education from BYU and a MS in Engineering and Technology Education from Utah State University. When my career started, I taught a split schedule for Weber School District between Two Rivers High School and Snowcrest Jr. High for 10 years. I then accepted a position as a Career and Technical Education Coordinator at the Weber Innovation Center (WIC). I oversee the Magnet Programs (Project Lead the Way, Physical Therapy, Criminal Justice, Clothing), Drafting, 8th grade Gateway, and 9th grade Physics with Technology. I really enjoy being a CTE Coordinator as it allows me to make a bigger difference and reach more students. My family loves doing all types of outdoor activities together, especially camping.
